The Southwest Regional is an event open to athletes from the following states: California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Hawaii.

Spectator Information

The 2018 Southwest Regional is guaranteed to be a thrilling display of championship Muaythai and doors will be open for spectators to witness this historic event. There will be a $35 admission price with unlimited re-entry.  Spectators can purchase tickets at the door or online by clicking or tapping here.

A-Class (Open): This competition class is meant for the exceptional athletes with 10+ bouts.

B-Class (Intermediate): This competition class is meant for developing athletes with 4-9 bouts.

C-Class (Novice): This competition class is meant for emerging athletes with 0-3 bouts.

The U.S. Muay Thai Association (USMTA) has been selected to serve as the sanctioning entity for the 2018 Southwest Regional.  The USMTA organization, under the direction of Bob Karmel, has a reputation for their professionalism, expertise, and focus on athlete safety.  The USMTA will serve as the liaison between the USMTO and the Arizona State Boxing and MMA  Commission and will oversee the event in accordance with state law.  All athletes are required to register with the USMTA before they can compete (athlete registrations are free, to be completed during the Nov 1 check-in/weigh-in).

NOTE: The USMTO may change your Weight Division or Experience Class in order to meet the needs of the Tournament (Involuntary Transfer). You may request a Voluntary Transfer to a different Weight Division or Experience Class at no charge as long as the USMTO receives the request within 48 hours of your event registration.

The USMTO Official Rules

The coaches/seconds pass will be $39.  All coaches must be registered members of the United States Muaythai Federation (USMF).  The USMF is the national governing body for the sport of Muaythai in the United States. You can get your coaches pass by CLICKING OR TAPPING HERE.

Registration is officially open on this date. You may register at the current price until the next deadline.

Open Registration Ends - Dec 14

Registration closes at the day of weigh ins. We do not accept late registrations. Once weigh ins are completed, there are no more opportunities to compete until the next event. No exceptions.

Bouts will start promptly at 9am. We have each bout scheduled so you will know when you are competing with enough time to warm up.
