WEIGHT CLASS TRANSFER

Involuntary Transfer means The US Open will change the athlete’s Weight Division or Experience Class to meet the needs of the Tournament. Involuntary transfers do not incur fees. An involuntary transfer usually occurs usually when an athlete needs to be moved out of an empty bracket.

Voluntary Transfer means that the athlete elects to change their Weight Division or Experience Class. The US Open will disapprove voluntary transfers if doing so would negatively affect the tournament’s bracketing.

Transfer Fees:
Within 7 days of Weigh-in: $45
Day of Weigh-in: $75

If you wish to transfer before Weigh-in, you must request it by submitting a support ticket.
